WBJEEM 2016: Decentralised Counseling for Spot Admissions to Engineering and Technology

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board has initiated decentralised counselling of WBJEEM 2016 for spot admissions to vacant seats in eight government engineering and technology colleges.  Counseling will be held on 29^th July from 10:00 AM onwards.

Candidates willing to participate in counselling have to apply on official website between 22^nd and 26^th this July, and those who have applied between these dates are only eligible for counselling. Fresh registration is required for applying and once the application is completed a printout of the same has to be taken for counselling purpose.

Candidates who satisfy the domicile criteria are only eligible for admission through decentralised counselling, and candidates belonging to the states other than West Bengal are not eligible for seats in government colleges.

Candidates with valid WBJEEM 2016 rank card can only apply for the counselling, and allotment of seat will be based purely on the merit upon satisfying the eligibility criteria. Admission will be done instantly on the spot to the Govt. colleges by depositing cash of Rs.6000/-.

Candidates are required to carry the following important documents during counselling:

1. Downloaded application form after registration
2. Rank card obtained in WBJEEM 2016
3. Recent passport size photographs( 2 nos)
4. Original Admit Card / Certificate of Madhyamik (10th Standard) or equivalent examinations or Birth Certificate from competent authority for verification of age
5. Original mark sheet of Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 Standard) or equivalent examinations.
6. Original domicile certificate as uploaded during online application form fill up of WBJEEM -2016
7. In case of SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD candidates of the state of West Bengal, Original Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority for verification
8. Rs. 6000/- (Rupees Six Thousand only) cash for deposition as spot admission fee for the allotted college
9. A set of self attested photocopies of all testimonials for the purpose of spot admission
