All India Selection Test - AIST 2016

Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) an apex body of Ministry of Commerce and Industry conducts All India Selection Test (AIST 2016) to admit eligible candidates in to U.G. and P.G. programs offered in various campuses across India for academic year 2016-17. FDDI operates in 12 campuses with Noida as main center and offers 3 under graduate and 3 post graduate programs mainly. Candidates willing to appear for AIST 2016 have to apply online only.

Online Application Process

Candidates willing to apply have to fill the registration form online and upload the necessary documents to complete the application. Candidates can apply for more than one program with a single registration and candidates who apply for both U.G. and P.G. have to fill separate applications. Candidates who are seeking exemption(discussed below) from written test have to upload the relevant score card / hall ticket. A sum of Rs 500/- has to be paid against the application fee for U.G. and P.G. programs.

Academic Eligibility

  • For U.G. programs candidates shall pass 10+2 in any discipline from any recognized board.
  • For P.G. programs candidates shall pass a bachelor degree from any recognized university / institution.
  • Candidates who are appearing/ appeared final year of qualifying exam and whose results are awaited can also apply subject to the admission guide lines.

Pattern and Syllabus

AIST 2016 is Computer based online test with multiple choice questions and each question having 4 options with single correct answer. Each correct answer will fetch 1 mark and no negative marking for wrong answer. Candidates will be provided with a computer and has to answer the questions online.  Candidates have to attempt all the questions with in the test duration of 2 ½ hours.  Exam will be conducted in both English and Hindi medium.

Admit Cards

Admit cards will be available for download from last week of July and candidates whose applications have been accepted can download admit cards from FDDI website.

 

Test Date and Test Centers

FDDI conducts AIST 2016 in 36 test centers in India and exam will be conducted on 3 different dates i.e., 11th, 12th and 13th August.

Exemption from AIST 2016

Candidates who are applying for U.G. programs could be exempted from writing  AIST 2016 if they have any of the following scores  JEEMain/BITSAT/IITJEE/GGSIPU/VIT/SRM/BCECE/UPSEE/MPCET/GUJCET/EAMCET/

COMEDK/MHCET/ODISHA JEE

Candidates who are applying for P.G. programs could be exempted from appearing AIST 2016 if they have any of the following scores

CAT/XAT/MAT/AIMA/JMET/NMAT/AMCAT/SNAP/GMAT/AIM-CAT
