UPES Dehradun Announced ULSAT 2017 Exam Date for LLB Admissions
University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun has announced ULSAT 2017 test date. ULSAT in full form UPES Legal Studies Aptitude Test is conducted to select eligible candidates for admissions to LLB programmes offered at its College of Legal Studies. ULSAT 2017 exam is to be held on 13th May, 2017.
The test is conducted for duration of 3 hours in single session from 9:30AM to 12:30PM. Application window for UPES ULSAT 2017 is available from 15th November, 2016 and last date for applying is 3rd May, 2017.
Candidates who have qualified in ULSAT 2017 will be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Final selection of candidates for admissions to LLB Programmes will be based on the performance in GD & PI. Only 80% of seats are filled through ULSAT 2017 and remaining will be filled through Non Examination Pathway.
The 20 percent seats available under non examination pathway are filled based on Board Merit/ CLAT Merit/ LSAT India Merit. Candidates with CLAT 2017 rank upto 5000, candidates among 60 percentile LSAT India 2017 scorers and candidates with 85% marks in 10th and 12th best of five subjects (English compulsory as one of the papers) are exempted from ULSAT 2017 and will be invited directly for GD and Interview.
Eligibility Criterion
Candidates who have obtained minimum 50% marks in 10th class and 10+2 level are only eligible to take ULSAT 2017. Candidates who have born on or after 1st October, 1997 are eligible to apply for 2017 admissions to LLB courses in UPES College of Legal Studies.
Candidates shall note that upper age limit for 5 year LLB courses is set to 20 years by Bar Council of India.
Exam Pattern
ULSAT 2017 is computer based test with multiple choice questions which are to be answered on a computer screen. Exam is conducted for a total of 150 questions covering 5 sections i.e, Language Comprehension, Quantitative & Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude.
