UGC-NET January 2017 Session Application Last Date Extended
CBSE has extended the UGC-NET 2017 January session application last date to 23rd November, 2016 from the previously said date 16th November, 2016. Candidates can pay the fee through “online generated challan” till 24th November. Exam is scheduled to be held on 22nd January 2017.
Candidates who have completed master degree or equivalent qualification from any recognized university with 55% marks are eligible to appear UGC-NET. Relaxation of 5% marks has been given for reserved categories. For JRF awards there is 27 years age limit and no age limit for assistant professorship. UGC-NET scores play major role in getting JRF awards and assistant professors positions.
Candidates willing to appear for UGC-NET 2017 January session have to apply through online. Candidates have to fill the online application on CBSE website and have to upload the photograph and scanned signature. Candidates have to pay a sum of Rs of Rs 600/- (Rs 300/- for OBC and Rs 150/- for SC/ST/PwD) against application fee through online or by paying the fee at designated banks through “online generated challan”.
Candidates have to appear in the subject of their post graduation study and exam consists of 3 papers conducted on single calendar day. There are subject wise codes available while filling the application, and candidates have to select appropriately. Exam will be administered at 90+ test cities across India and candidates can give 4 test city choices for UGC-NET January 2017.
UGC-NET 2017 Admit cards will be available for download from 21st December on CBSE website which can be downloaded by logging in to the site.
Correction in the application form through online will be allowed from 28th November to 3rd December, 2016.
