UGC-NET 2016 July Exam Admit Cards are Available for Download
Admit cards for UGC NET 2016 that is scheduled on 10th July are available for download. Candidates can download the admit cards by loging in using application number, and password generated during registration for exam. Exam will be held at 89 test centers across India and candidates are advised to report 2.30 hrs prior to the commencement of exam at the test center. Exam commences at 9:30AM in the morning and concludes by 4:30PM for all the 3 papers. While writing the exam, Board advises candidates to bubble the OMR sheets with blue/black ball point pen only.
UGC NET conducted by CBSE is to ascertain the merit for JRF scholarships and to get mandatory eligibility by candidate to work as lecturers in universities and colleges. The exam is conducted twice in a year in the months July and December. NET exam comprises 3 papers with objective type questions and will be held in a single day. Paper 1 comprises of 60 questions where candidates have choice to attempt 50 questions only. Paper 2 consists of 50 questions and candidates have to attempt all the questions. Paper 3 consists of 75 questions where all the questions have to be answered. Paper 1 tests the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate and paper 2 and paper3 tests the candidate’s expertise in the relevant subject selected by the candidates. Candidates have to qualify separately in all the papers to get a valid NET score. All the questions will carry 2 marks and no negative marking for wrong answer. JRF scholarship award is valid for 2 years and some relaxation is there for candidates who are already pursuing M.Phil./Ph.D.
Application process was already completed for July session. There is an upper age limit of 28 (relaxation for reserved category) is stipulated for JRF and no age limit for lecturer ship (assistant professor) eligibility.
