Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture Technology and Sciences University Opens Admissions for 2015

Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture Technology and Sciences University formally known as Allahabad Agricultural Institute has opened it’s admissions to various courses in under graduate and post graduate programs for the academic year 2015. This university is accredited by ICAR and NAAC(“A”).

The university is offering 42 under-graduate and 101 post-graduate programs under different schools. Out of the available seats, 50% are reserved to the Christian community candidates and the remaining 50% are for general candidates. 15% seats in U.G programmes and 25% seats of P.G. in Agricultural and allied subjects are filled through the All India Entrance Test Conducted by ICAR, New Delhi. Candidates aspiring to take admission in various UG and PG programs have to appear a respective entrance exam conducted by the university.

The candidates can obtain the Application form and prospectus either by manual or online mode. Manual application form can be obtained by sending a crossed bank draft for Rs. 450.00 in favor of the Registrar or the forms can be obtained by cash payment, from the University fee counter on any working day. The last date is May 12, 2015 for submission of completed application form accompanied with exam fee in form of DD in favour of SHIATS.

The exam fees applicable for various courses are follows:

U.G. programmes Rs. 1000, all P.G. programmes Rs. 1000, B.Ed and M.Ed programmes Rs. 1000.

Candidates can also apply online through the university website, www.shiats.edu.in and the last date for applying online is May 20, 2015. Once form is filled online subsequently a challan will be generated for Rs. 1200/- for UG & PG Programmes and Rs. 1400/- for B.Ed. & M.Ed. Programmes, which shall be deposited either at the PNB Bank or at Axis Bank branches PAN India or through SBI Net Banking (SBI Collect) by way of Debit / Credit Card etc.

Date and Timings of various entrance exams are as follows:

i) Entrance Test for Undergraduate Programmes- June 03, 2015.

(Morning Session) from 09:00 - 11:00 am.

(ii) Entrance test for Postgraduate Programmes-June 03, 2015.

(Evening Session) from 02:00 - 04:00 pm.

iii) Entrance test for B.Ed, & M. Ed. Programme -June 03, 2015

(Evening Session) from 02:00 - 04:30 pm.
