NID Admissions 2017-18: DAT 2017 Exam Dates Out

National Institute of Design, an autonomous institution that runs under Ministry of Commerce and having campuses across India has announced DAT 2017 Exam dates and admissions schedule for 2017-19 academic programmes. NID offers B.Des., M.Des., and GDPD programmes, and admissions to these programmes will be through Design Aptitude Test (DAT ) entrance exam and DAT 2017 prelims test date is 8^th January, 2017.

Candidates dreaming career in the field of Design and want to pursue academics at NID have to apply online through NID admission website. NID is accepting applications from 25^th October and last date for online applications is 2^nd December, 2016.

Candidates primarily have to register to start with application process. Upon successful registration candidates have to provide all the Personal information, Educational information, Choice of programme & campus and test center to proceed to document upload section. At this section candidates have to upload the soft copy of color photograph, signature and other required documents in the prescribed format. While applying online candidates can give only 2 programme choices for M.Des. course. B.Des. and GDPD Specializations can be selected only after first year of the course and candidates can only select upon their performance.

 Applicants have to pay the application fee through online or by DD and category wise application fee details are available in the NIDA Handbook. After successful payment of application fee candidates can print the filled application. Candidates who want to pay the application fee in the form of DD have to send the DD in original along with the printout of application  to “The Project Manager–CMS All India Management Association Management House, 14, Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi 110 003

India” on or before last date.

Design Aptitude Test 2017 consists of 2 sections, Prelims and Mains.DAT 2017 Prelims will be common for U.G. and P.G. programmes and candidates who scored qualifying marks in the prelims will be allowed to attend the Mains. DAT 2017 Mains for B.Des. & GDPD and M.Des. will have different formats and mainly test the candidate’s artistry qualities, followed by personal interview. Final merit will be calculated using DAT 2017 Prelims and Mains scores and weightage of each will be as per the decision of institute.

DAT Mains 2017 Results will be published in the month of May and merit list for NID 2017 Admissions will be published accordingly.
