NEET SS 2017: National Level Common Entrance exam introduced for Medical Super Specialty courses
Medical council of India (MCI) has come up with NEET super specialty entrance exam which is again a step towards single eligibility cum entrance test for D.M., M.Ch. and Post Doctoral Certificate Courses offered by any institute across India. From academic year 2017 onwards all the admissions to medical super specialty course will be done through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Specialty (NEET SS 2017), which will be a single valid entrance test. Hence forth no other exam conducted by universities, medical boards or individual institutions are valid from 2017 academic year.
MCI is already conducting NEET UG, NEET PG and NEET MDS for UG and PG medical and dental courses, and NEET super Specialty is another addition to the common testing platform. NEET SS 2017 exam date is also announced and will be held on 10th June 2017.
Exam Pattern
NEET SS 2017 will be conducted in CBT mode and exam pattern is objective type. Exam will have 200 MCQ type questions and questions are derived from subjects taught at MD/MS/PG Medical diploma level. National board of Exams will be conducting the NEET SS 2017 and detailed notification for application process will be announced shortly.
Admissions to medical super speciality courses in AIIMS, PGIMR Chandigarh, JIPMER, NIMHANS and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology are excluded from NEET SS 2017.
