JoSAA 2016 Seat Allotment : First Round Allotment Announced
First round of seat allotment has been announced by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for the academic session 2016-17. JoSAA is responsible for allocating seats for various professional courses offered in IITS, NITS, GFTIS and IIITS across India.
Candidates who have registered for admission process through JoSAA can check for result on the official website by logging in using their JEE Main Roll number and Password. Candidates can also obtain a print out of the locked choices from this link by logging in to the website.
Those who have got seat allotment, to accept the seat, have to pay seat acceptance fee and report at the reporting center between 1st and 5th July, 2016 at any time from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. Seat acceptance fee can be paid by two modes i.e, Netbanking of SBI or e-Challan.
While reporting to the center candidates also have to have to produce the documents prescribed by JoSAA like Certificates, Declarations and Photographs along with the provisional allotment letter. Visit this link for full list of documents to be produced at the reporting center.
Candidates have to accept the seat allotted in first round to participate in further rounds. Any candidate who has not paid seat acceptance fee and or not reported at reporting center will be treated as “Rejected the seat” and will not be included in further rounds of allotment.
