JEE Main 2017 Aspirants! Have You Obtained Your AADHAAR Card Yet?

Yes, it is mandatory for candidates aspiring to take JEE Main 2017 to have obtained AADHAAR card. Central Board of Secondary Education in it’s JEE Main 2017 notification released recently has mentioned that all Indian citizen candidates shall possess AADHAAR card provided by UIDAI in order to apply for the exam.

All the Indian citizen candidates during the application process have to fill the form with their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender as they are in the AADHAR card. This information will be validated with the data that is in UIDAI records, and if the data entered by the candidate don’t match with those records, candidate will not be able to complete the JEE Main 2017 application form.

So candidates with no AADHAAR card yet are recommended to obtain the same before registering for JEE Main 2017 exam. Candidates who already have AADHAAR cards are suggested to check for correctness of information on it in accordance with school records, and if found any discrepancy in data i.e, name, date of birth & gender, they are advised to rectify the same by the time of filling the application form.

Application window for JEE Main 2017 opens on 1st December, 2016 and closes on 2nd January, 2017, while the application fee can be paid up to 3rd January, 2017.
