IIT JAM 2017: Registration and Exam Dates Released, IIT Delhi to Hold the Exam
IIT JAM 2017 will be conducted by IIT Delhi this year and exam is to be held on 12th Febraury, 2017 in two sessions. Registration and application for JAM 2017 starts from 1st September, 2016 and last date for applying is 4th October, 2016. Candidates willing to take JAM have to register and apply only.
Joint Admission test for M.Sc (JAM) is conducted every year by IITs to ascertain the merit of students for admission to M.Sc. (Two years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. dual degree, M.Sc.-M.Tech., M.Sc.-M.S.(Research)/Ph.D. dual degree and other post B.Sc . programs in IITs and Integrated Ph.D. degree programs in IISc Bangalore.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates with relevant qualifying bachelor degree securing 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD candidates) or equivalent CGPA/Grade without rounding off in all subjects including language subjects combined in all three years.
JAM will have seven test papers conducted in two different sessions and a candidate can take maximum two papers, only one paper from each session. Exam will be conducted in online mode only for all the papers.
Application fee for Female/Sc/ST/PwD candidates is Rs.750/- for one test paper and Rs.1050/- for 2 papers. For remaining all other candidates application fee is Rs.1500/- for one test paper and Rs.2100/- for two papers.
Admissions to the M.Sc programs offered in IITs and IISc for the Academic session 2017-2018 will be made based on the All India Merit List prepared on the basis of the performance made by candidates in JAM 2017.
