IIIT Vadodara Announces Admissions to Ph.D. Programmes 2017, Application Last Date is 4th November

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Vadodara  is inviting applications from eligible candidates for Ph.D. admissions in winter 2016-17 session. Doctoral programmes are offered in Engineering, Sciences and Humanities & Social sciences disciplines, and courses will commence from January 2017. Applications are accepted from 10^th October and last date for applying to IIIT Vadodara Ph.D. admissions is 4^th November, 2016.

Candidates willing to apply have to download the application available  on Institute website and have to send the filled application along with  DD for a sum of Rs.1000/- and photocopies of other relevant documents to “The Registrar, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Vadodara (Gandhinagar Campus) Block No. 9, Government Engineering College, Sector 28, Gandhinagar-382028 Gujarat” before the last date.

Candidates with UGC NET fellowship, CSIR, GATE or any other fellowship/teaching assistantship are eligible to apply.  Aspirants applying for engineering discipline shall have M.Tech./ M.E. in CS/ IT/ ECE or M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics/ Computer Science and related areas in PG degree.

 Candidates applying for Sciences discipline shall have M.Tech. Material Science/Nano-technology/ Applied optics/ Engineering Physics/ Scientific Computing,  M.Sc. in Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics/ Electronics/ Computer Science and related areas of PG Degree. Candidates applying for Humanities shall pass MA/ M.Phil in Linguistics/ English and related subjects.

Upon academic performance and considering other elements, institute will shortlist the candidates for written test and interview.  IIIT Vadodara conducts the written test to assess the candidate’s proficiency in subject domain, and syllabus for written exam is available for download for reference.  Selection for Ph.D. programmes will be based on candidate’s performance in the written exam followed by personal interview.

List of candidates shortlisted for written test and interview will be announced on 8^th November. Written test interview will be conducted from 28^th to 30^th November 2016.  Final merit list will be published on 1^st December and course will commence in the first week of January 2017.

Candidates enrolled in the Ph.D. programmes will be provided with financial assistance ship in the mode of Teaching/Research Assistantship. Candidates with CSIR JRF will get scholarship upon getting admission in to Ph.D. programmes.
