IIFM PGDFM 2017 Admission Notification Released
Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) which is ranked 8th among the best fifty management institutes by MHRD, has released notification for Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Management (PGDFM) admissions for 2017 academic year. A total of 120 seats are available for PGDFM course in IIFM and admissions to this course are purely merit based. Two year PGDFM offered by IIFM has Environmental Management, Development Management and Conservation & Livelihood as specializations. Top 20% candidates performed in the course will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs.5000/- per month and will be awarded at the end of first term.
Candidates should posses a bachelor degree of at least 3 year duration from any discipline and score 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwD) aggregate or equivalent CGPA for admissions. Candidates who are into final year of qualifying exam are also eligible to apply provided their graduation shall complete before 30th June 2017.
Selection process for IIFM PGDFM course involves Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI), and all applicants desirous to join IIFM have to either appear for CAT 2016 or XAT 2017 as IIFM will use those scores to short list the candidates for GD and PI. Shortlisted candidates have to attend the GD & PI conducted at Bhopal, Bangalore, New Delhi and Kolkata. Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be held in the month of March/April 2017. Final merit list will be based on overall performance in CAT or XAT and GD & PI.
Aspirants have to apply either through online or by downloading the application or obtaining the application from IIFM by paying Rs 1000/- (Rs 500/- for SC/ST/PwD) in the form of DD.
Candidates applying through online have to fill personal, educational and contact details and have to pay application fee of Rs. 1000/- through online by credit/debit/net banking to complete the application.
Candidates (who wish to apply with downloaded application) have to download the PGDFM 2017-19 application form from IIFM website, fill all necessary details, affix photograph and have to send the duly filled form, along with a DD drawn against application fee and other necessary attested documents to “Chairperson PGDFM Admission, Indian Institute of Forest Management, Nehru Nagar, Bhopal 462 003, (M.P.) India" within the last date for submission.
Candidates who purchased application by paying Rs 1000/- have to fill all necessary details and have to send the filled application along with other attested documents to “Chairperson PGDFM Admission, Indian Institute of Forest Management, Nehru Nagar, Bhopal 462 003, (M.P.) India".
Last date for application submission of PGDFM 2017-19 for CAT 2016 applicants is 10th January, 2016.
Last date for PGDFM 2017 application submission for XAT 2017 applicants is 10th February, 2017.
