GATE 2017 Last Date For Applications Extended

The last date for GATE 2017 applications has been changed from 4^th to 10^th of this October. Candidates who have not applied for the exam for any reasons now can apply till 11:00 AM on next Monday. IIT Roorkee (IITR), the organizing institute of GATE 2017 has officially announced the extension of last date on the official website http://www.gate.iitr.ernet.in/ .

 IIT Roorkee has also announced that 3 new centres Burdwan (IIT Guwahati Zone), Dibrugarh (IIT Guwahati Zone) and Gorakhpur (IIT Kanpur Zone) have been added to the list of GATE 2017 Test Centres. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on the dates 4^th, 5^th, 11^th and 12^th of February, 2017 and admit cards for the same will be made available for download from 5^th January.

Candidates have to apply for GATE 2017 through GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS), by registering using Email-ID, Mobile number and a desired Password. Once after registering candidate can fill online application, upload required documents and proceed for payment of application fee of Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 750/- for female/SC/ST/PWD). Fee payment can be done online using Netbanking/Credit card/Debit card or by remitting in any SBI branch using e-challan.

Upon successful fee payment a unique fee payment number will be generated which shall be used for final submission of the application. Applicants must also save the payment number for future references.

GATE 2017 organizing authority has also notified that the applicants whose status is shown “Under scrutiny”, shall not worry and those will be contacted through SMS and E-mail for any rectifications required in the uploaded documents and information.
