GATE 2017 Dates Announced, IIT Roorkee to Conduct Exam
Gate 2017 is to be conducted by IIT Roorkee and test dates are announced by the conducting institute. GATE in full form Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is a qualifying exam conducted for admissions in to postgraduate programs in Indian higher education institutes with financial assistance/scholarship by MHRD or other central government bodies.
This year GATE exam will be conducted on 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th of February, 2017 and application process starts from 1st September, 2016. The last date for applying is 4th October, 2016 and all the candidates have to apply online only.
Application fee is Rs.750/- for women candidates and SC/ST/PwD categories and Rs.1500/- for all other candidates. Application fee has to be paid online only either by net-banking or e-challan.
GATE 2017 will be completely online mode exam and will be computer based test for all the papers. The score obtained in the test shall be valid for 3 years.
