GATE 2017 admit card can be downloaded from today
The admit card for GATE 2017 exam is made available for download from today. All the candidates who have successfully applied for the exam to be organized on 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th February 2017 can start downloading GATE 2017 admit cards now from http://appsgate.iitr.ac.in/.
The candidates shall note that GATE 2017 organizing authority will not send admit card to the candidate by means of post or email. The candidate can download admit card only from the GATE 2017 online application processing system (GOAPS) website. The candidate shall take a colour print out of the admit card and shall carry it to the exam hall on the date of exam.
Along with the admit card candidate shall also carry a valid photo id in original that is registered with GOAPS while filling GATE 2017 application form. The accepted photo ids include Driving license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar UID, valid College ID, Employee Identification Card or driving License. It is to note that no candidate shall be allowed to take the test without admit card and valid original photo id same as registered.
On the date of exam the candidates must report at the test centre 60 minutes prior to the commencement of exam. No candidate shall be allowed to leave the exam hall before the exam concludes. The duration of a candidate’s session on the allotted date of exam will be 3 hours.
The candidate shall be allowed to take only GATE 2017 admit card, photo identification card and a pen only in to the exam hall. The candidates are not allowed to carry any object other than these while taking the test. Since GATE 2017 is computer based test no physical calculator will be allowed to carry by the candidate, instead a virtual calculator will be provided on the computer screen.
