Delhi University Ph.D. Admission 2016-17: Applications Invited from Department of Genetics

Applications are invited from research aspirants for full time Ph.D. positions in Department of Genetics, University of Delhi, south campus. These are phase 2 admissions for this academic year, and a total 8 positions are available in 4 research areas. Candidates have to apply through Delhi University admission portal for these programs. Candidates have to fill a separate application for each specialization selected. Applications are being accepted from 24^th October and last date for online application is 2^nd November 2016.

Candidates who passed Master degree/M.Phil/M.Tech./MD/MS from recognized university/institute in any of science disciplines are eligible to apply. Candidates shall have an aggregate of 55% or equivalent CGPA from the qualifying exam and 5% in aggregate is relaxed for reserved categories. Candidates shall also have research fellowship award from CISR or UGC NET or any research position holding from 2 years in the same department are eligible to apply for Ph.D. programs.

All the candidates have to appear personal interview and selection is based on the suitability of specialization and fulfilling all the conditions laid down by University of Delhi. Candidates without NET scholarship may also be preferred, provided with non NET UGC fellowship upon final selection.
