CLAT 2017 online application form available from today
CLAT 2017 online application processing system (CAPS) has been enabled from today. The candidates aspiring admissions to UG and PG programmes in 18 National Law Universities can use CAPS to register and apply for CLAT 2017 and also check for status of the application further.
CLAT 2017 will be organized by Chanakya National Law University on 14th May 2017 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM. The test will be held in online mode for total of 200 marks.
What is the eligibility to apply for CLAT 2017?
For UG Law Programmes:
- The candidate shall be below 20 years of age by 1st July 2017. In case of SC/ST/ OBC/SAP category candidates age shall be below 22 years by 1st July 2017.
- The candidate shall pass 10+2 or equivalent and should have obtained result for submission by the time of admissions.
- The candidate shall obtain 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST) in 10+2.
For PG Law Programmes:
- The candidate shall pass LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B. (Hons.)/ any other equivalent exam and should have obtained result for submission by the time of admissions.
- The candidate shall obtain 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST) in qualifying exam.
- No upper age is prescribed for PG programmes.
How to apply?
The candidate willing to take CLAT 2017 shall apply online only through CAPS.
- In first step candidate has to register with CLAT 2017 using “Register Yourself” link.
- In next step the candidate has to fill up online application form with personal and academic information along with choice of CLAT 2017 examination cities.
- The candidate then has to upload scanned images of photograph, signature and other documents.
- In final step the candidate has to pay the application fee to complete the application process.
The last date for submitting online application form is 31st March 2017. It is not required to send printout of the application to the CLAT 2017 organizing office. The candidate has to remember the user-id and password created during registration for future logins, download admit card and result card.
How to pay CLAT 2017 application fee?
All the candidates have to pay a sum of Rs.4000/- against application fee except the candidates of SC/ST categories. The application fee for SC/ST candidates is Rs.3500/- only.
All the candidates have to pay the CLAT 2017 application fee in online mode only using Credit card/Debit card/ Net banking. No payment in form of Cash/DD will be accepted.
