CEE Kerala Imposes Upper Age Limit for 3 Year LLB & 5 Year LLB Admissions 2016
It is a big blow to some aspirants who appeared Kerala LLB 3 year entrance exam and LLB 5 year entrance exam in 2016 as CEE reinstated upper age limit for admissions into Law courses from this year. Information brochure released by CEE Kerala during application process states that there is no upper age limit for admissions into integrated 5 year LLB and 3 year LLB courses offered at Law collages across Kerala state.
Board has implemented this, following the reinstatement of upper age Limit by Bar Council of India. As per the new norms upper age limit to get eligible for 5 year LLB is 30 years and for 3 year LLB is 20 years with a relaxation of 2 and 5 years respectively for SEBC/SC/ST categories. This will affect the dreams of some aspirants who will be out of admission process due to reinitiating of upper age limit.
Candidates who applied for above courses and have not submitted their age proof during the application process, now have to submit a valid age proof. Candidates can utilize the upload facility through candidate portal to submit the age proof before 5:00PM on 25th October, 2016.
The rank list for 5 Year LLB 2016 was already published on 8th September, 2016 and for 3 Year LLB 2016 rank list was published on 26th September, 2016. KEE Kerala now states that, these ranks list becomes invalid, and a new rank list will be published accordingly. Candidates expressed their concerns that board should have carefully drafted the rules and regulations for Law admissions as this decision may create chaos in the candidates.
New 3 Year LLB 2016 rank list and 5 Year LLB 2016 rank list are expected to be announced in a week followed by the admission schedule which is already delayed.
