Symbiosis National Aptitude Test - SNAP 2016
Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is the mandatory entrance exam and pathway for candidates who are willing to pursue M.B.A. from the Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune. SIU offers world class education with diversified and industry specific academic programs in various disciplines. SNAP is conducted at all India level and both Indian and foreign nationals eligible for the exam.
A total of 15 SIU colleges offer MBA with multi disciplinary specializations and all the admissions to these programs are based on merit obtained in SNAP 2016. Candidates who are shortlisted will have to attend GD (Group Discussion) and PIWAT (Personal Interview & Writing Ability Test).
Eligibility
- Candidates shall be graduate from any recognized university with 55% (45% for SC/ST) marks.
- Candidates who obtained a degree from any foreign university shall obtain equivalence from AIU.
- Candidates shall possess specific educational qualifications in relevance to the particular program.
Exam Pattern
SNAP 2016 test paper comprises a total of 150 MCQ type questions and candidates have to answer them within duration of 120 minutes. Exam is conventional pen and paper based and candidates have to bubble the OMR sheets with blue/black point pens only. Each question will have 4 choices with single correct answer. One mark will be awarded for correct response and ¼ of the mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Admissions
Candidates will be shortlisted upon the merit obtained in the SNAP and will be called for GD and PIWAT. Admissions will be done at institute level and final merit list will be prepared based on the performance of the candidate in the test and GD & PIWAT.
Application process for SNAP 2016
Candidates willing to appear for SNAP 2016 have to apply online only. Online application is available from 22nd August and last date for application submission is 22nd November 2016.
Candidates have to register providing Name, DOB, Mail-id and Mobile number. Upon success full registration candidates will obtain SNAP Id which can be used for future logins.
Login using SNAP id and password to fill the educational details and programs applying for and have to upload the scanned copy of photograph. After providing all the information in the application candidates can use preview button for a review. Candidates satisfied with the information can press save and continue for fee payment.
Fee payment
Candidates have to pay a sum of Rs 1500/- against application fee, and online, DD and cash modes are available for payment of fee. Fee payment can be done till 25th November 2016 by any of the 3 modes available. Candidates have to pay a sum of Rs 1000/- against each course selected and only those candidates will be considered for short listing who paid the fee during the SNAP registration process.
Candidates can pay fee online by credit/debit or through net banking.
Candidates who have opted cash mode have to download the challan from SNAP 2016 website and have to remit the fee at either Axis bank or Indian bank branches. After payment of fee banks provide 2 parts of stamped challan. Candidates have to retain the candidate copy and need to send the other to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat before last date of fee payment.
Candidates can pay the fee in the form of DD raised from any nationalized bank and have to enter the DD details in the payment advice form and send the both to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat before last date of fee payment.
Admit cards for SNAP 2016
Admit card for SNAP 2016 will be made available for download from 2nd December to 18th December 2016. Candidates have to paste a photograph identical to the uploaded one and have to carry the admit card to the test center. Candidates have to carry an acceptable photo id along with the admit card. Candidates are advised to retain the admit card till the GD and PIWAT concludes.
Test center and Test date
SNAP 2016 will be conducted on 18th December 2016 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. Test will be held in 32 test centers across India, those are listed below.

Results for SNAP 2016 will be announced on 9th January 2017 and admissions will be done at institute level conducting GD and PIWAT.
