Management Aptitude Test - MAT February 2017
All India Management Association an apex body of management schools of India conducts Management Aptitude Test (MAT 2017) to screen the candidates for admission into MBA and Post graduate diploma programs in Management. Usually MAT is conducted four times in a calendar year, in February, May, September and December. Across India over 600+ B-Schools admit candidates using MAT scores and 252 business schools are participating in the MAT process. MAT scores are used to fill the MBA and PGDM seats in participated institutions and final section will be coupled with Group Discussion (GD) & personal interview (PI). Successful candidates will be eligible for admissions to MBA/PGDM programmes offered by participating institutes. MAT 2017 February notification is out and paper based test will be conducted on 5th February 2017 and CBT will be conducted from 11th February 2017 in different slots.
MAT Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates shall pass bachelor degree either 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 mode in any discipline from any recognized by University.
- Candidates who are into final year qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
MAT Exam Pattern
Management eligibility test (MAT 2017 February) is objective in type and tests the applicants ability and eligibility for post graduate management programmes .Test paper will have 5 sections covering questions related to Language comprehension, Mathematics, Data analysis & sufficiency, Intelligence & critical reasoning and Indian & global environment topics. Each section will have 40 MCQ questions and test paper will have total 200 questions to be attempted over 150 minutes. All questions will have 4 options with single correct answer and carries 1 mark. Negative marking is there and ¼ a mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. MAT has 2 testing modes offline and CBT, where candidates have option to select the mode of exam during application process. Offline exam will be a pen and paper model conducted in a calendar day and candidates have to bubble the OMR sheets. Computer Based Test (CBT) is conducted in a series of Days in different sessions and candidates have to answer on a computer screen. While answering MAT, there is no section time limit or sequence of answering hence candidates can toggle from one section to another during exam.

MAT Scoring
MAT is conducted for a total of 200 marks and is scaled on a score 800.There will be 6 scores and Language comprehension, Mathematics, Data analysis & sufficiency and Intelligence & critical reasoning will have a scale range of 0 to 100 each, and composite score of all 4 will have scale range of 200 to 800. Indian and global environment (general awareness) will not be a part of composite score and have a separate score card of 0 to 100 range.
MAT February 2017
AIMA has released MAT February 2017 exam dates and applications are accepted from 10th December to 27th January 2017. MAT February 2017 paper based test will be held on 05th February, 2017 from 10:00AM to 12:30 PM and MAT February, 2017 CBT will be held from 11th February 2017 onwards on different dates & time slots.
MATFebruary 2017 Application Process
Candidates willing to apply for MAT February 2017 (which is the second largest management entrance test after CAT) has to register online or by purchasing the registration form from “AIMA, New Delhi”.
Candidates willing to apply through online have to create login using valid email id to start with. After logging in candidates have to fill the personal and educational details to move to upload image section. Candidates have to upload the photograph and scanned signature in prescribed format. Candidates who don’t want to upload the image have to print the finished application will require to affix the photograph and signature on the printout of application and are required to send to AIMA, New Delhi.
Candidates who applied through online have to pay the application fee of Rs 1200/- either online or through DD. Candidates who wish to pay the application fee in the form of DD have to send the application form along with DD to AIMA, New Delhi before last date.
After successful payment through online, candidates can take a printout of filled application for future reference.
Candidates willing to apply through offline have to purchase the MAT February application form from AIMA, New Delhi office. Application will be available for purchase till 22nd January and duly filled application has to reach the AIMA office on or before 27th January 2017.
During the application process candidates can give 5 options of participating institutes for score reporting, to which he/she seeking admission in MBA/PGDM programme.
MAT February 2017 Admit Cards
Candidates can download Admit cards for MAT 2017 February session from 28th January 2017 via website link https://apps.aima.in/matadmitcard.aspx. MAT 2017 Admit card contains details of center of the examination and other details. Candidates have to carry a printout to the test center failing which, one will not be allowed to take the test.
MAT 2017 February Session Test Centers
MAT 2017 February session will be conducted at all major cities in India and other famous locations at abroad. Candidates can view the MAT bulletin for available test centers.
MAT February 2017 Results
MAT 2017 results for February session are expecting in 4th week of February, 2017 and candidates can view their score cards by logging in using roll number and form number. MAT 2017 results are valid for 1 year and scores will be reported to 5 participated institutes selected during application process. Institutes will decide the cutoff scores to GD and PI for final selection, which depends on the difficulty of exam, number of students participated and seat availability.
