Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT 2016)
Karnataka Management Ability Test widely called KMAT is the route to get admission into private quota seats in more than 150 professional institutions across Karnataka state. KMAT 2016 is conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) to fill the seats in MBA/PGDBM/MCA. KMAT 2016 is conducted at all India level and in various cities across India.
KMAT 2016 is pen and paper based test with multiple choice question type and comprise 4 sections for a total of 120 questions. Each question carries 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect response. KMAT 2016 test aims to measure candidate language ability, computational and logical skills with moderately difficulty exam level.
Academic Eligibility:
Eligibility for MBA/PGDBM
- Candidate should have passed a 3yr graduation degree from any recognized university or institution with an aggregate of 50% marks ( 40% in case of SC/ST)
- Candidates who are appearing final year of graduation and whose results are awaited are also eligible.
Eligibility for MCA
- Candidate should have passed a 3yr graduation degree from any recognized university or institution with an aggregate of 50% marks ( 40% in case of SC/ST)
- Candidate should study Mathematics as major subject either in 10+2 or Graduation level.
Exam Pattern
Exam pattern for both Disciplines are same and exam consists of 4 sections i.e., Verbal ability & reading comprehension, Logical and abstract reasoning, Quantitative ability and general awareness. Candidate has to answer 120 MCQ questions in 180 minutes.
- Verbal ability and reading comprehension is to test the candidate’s language standards like vocabulary, sentence formation, synonyms, Comprehension of text and language skills. This section comprises 40 MCQ questions and carry 160 marks
- Logical and abstract reasoning consists of figures, statements to measure the non verbal abilities of candidates. This section comprises of 20 MCQ type questions and carry 80 marks.
- Quantitative ability is to test the candidate simple computational skills with simple numerical calculations, arithmetic expressions, Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry etc. This section is at a level of matriculation standards and comprises 40 MCQ and carry 160 marks.
- General awareness is to test the candidate’s general knowledge and current affairs, this section comprises 20 MCQ and carry 80 makrs.
KMAT Registration and Application
Candidates who wish to appear KMAT 2016 can apply through online or offline mode. Initially candidate has to register online and depends upon his convenience he can complete the application. Candidates who wish to apply offline can download the application form after completion of registration and fill and send to Triumph MediaTech along with the prescribed registration fee.
KMAT 2016 Admit Card
Upon successful registration eligible candidates can download admit card for KMAT India website providing registration details. Admit cards are available from 20th may 2016 and candidates have to produce the admit card for entry into examination hall.
