Joint Entrance exam for Hotel Management - JEHOM 2016
Joint Entrance Exam for Hotel Management (JEHOM) is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board for admission into under graduate course in Hotel Management and Catering Technology offered in the state of West Bengal state. JEHOM 2016 application process stated on 22nd March 2016 and will close on 22nd April 2016. Registration and application for JEHOM 2016 is online process and Candidates willing to appear JEHOM have to register online through www.wbjeeb.in . Exam will be conducted for duration of 1 hour on 8th May 2016.
Online Application Process
Application process contains 4 steps
- On step 1 candidate has to register online providing DOB, Gender, Email id, and mobile number. On successful registration an application number will be generated which will be used for further login.
- On step 2 candidates have to fill his/her personal and academic details and make choice of examination centers (2 choices for test centers are allowed)
- On step 3 candidates have to upload his/her recent colored photograph, signature and 10th mark sheet. At the end of the step an e-challan will be generated for fee payment.
- On step 4 candidates have to do the exam fee payment at any Allahabad bank branch by remitting a sum of Rs 510/- against application fee.
- After successful fee payment candidates have to submit the application and need to take print out of the same. No corrections are allowed so candidates are advised to fill and submit the application carefully.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should be citizen of India
- Candidates should complete 17yrs by 31st of December 2016
- Candidates shall pass 10+2 in regular mode from West Bengal council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent from any other board.
- Candidates who appeared qualifying exam in 2016 and whose results are awaited are also eligible to apply.
Exam pattern and syllabus
JEHOM 2016 is pen and paper based exam conducted for a duration of 1 hour which consists of 50 questions and correct answer will fetch 2 marks and incorrect answer will deduct ½ marks. All questions in the exam are MCQ type, will have 4 choices and candidates have to bubble the OMR sheet with blue/black ball point pen only. Exam tests the candidate’s ability in English language, General Knowledge, Logical reasoning and Mathematics at elementary level. Question paper for JEHOM will be available in English language only.

Admit Card
Admit cards for JEHOM will be available for download from 2nd May 2016 till 8th May 2016. Candidates have to bring the admit card hard copy to the test center along with a photograph which is identical to the picture uploaded online. All the candidates are advised to retain the admit card in good condition till the admission process completes.
Test centers
JEHOM 2016 test centers are located in Durgapur, Kolkata and Siliguri and board retain the right to allot test center. Request for change in test center will not be entertained.
Exam Result
West Bengal Joint Entrance exam Board will announce the Result of JEHOM 2016 in 2nd week of June and candidates can access to the result on board website.
Counseling
Application for counseling will be available from 10th June 2016 and candidates shall download the form, dully filled application along with a fee of Rs 500/- to be submitted at the counseling center. All the necessary documents including original admit card, 10th Certificate, original 10+2 certificates and downloaded result card have to be submitted at the time of counseling. Counseling will be done on 18th June 2016.
